Guy de Maupassant, is as our star Gloria jokes, a master of simple pleasures. A French 19th century writer, his short stories tease with the vices and passions of “respectable” folk. His story ‘The Signal’ illustrates how a prostitute at a window fishes for men. A young married woman watches from afar and tempted by the promise of forbidden fruit, decides she could do a better job herself. Cherry’s adaptation is brought up to date by our stars who live out the script in what can only be described as brutal all consuming ecstasy. This is not one to be missed!
